Build diary – week twenty-two, all decked out (almost)!
The last of our penultimate weeks has passed and went quickly with the help of many fantastic volunteers. If you are interested in helping the finishing touches will start soon.
Build diary – week twenty-one, hole in the ground so big and so round
The all important stage and decking are now in place as we move into the last week of the build.
Build diary – weeks nineteen and twenty, warm, dry and well plastered
In two weeks, the team have completed some of the hardest jobs – only two weeks left to go.
Build diary – week eighteen, glazed expression and a woolly mind
We can really see how the Roundhouse will look with glazed windows and the decking. It will be warm too with all that British Sheep’s Wool Insulation.

‘doesn’t time fly when you’re laying decking’
Build diary – week sixteen, mud, mud, glorious mud!
The weather seems to have turned with wind, rain, cold and sunshine this week, but we carried on working outside or in as the weather changed.
Build diary – week fifteen, up on the roof
Monday seemed to be delivery day, we saw the arrival of the decking boards, Cedar shingles, the Velux roof lights and more lime and clay plaster. Plenty to do then, although the weather had its contribution to make to the shingle laying.
Build diary – week fourteen, busy, busy, busy…
Busy, busy, busy, this week with lots of progress on the build although, due to some deliveries not arriving on time, jobs have got moved around somewhat! This week also saw the back of the blue tarpaulin sheets which seem to have been a fixture for ever.
Build diary – week thirteen, ready, sedum, go…
Week thirteen, the roundhouse roof is closer to being waterproof and is ready for the sedum veranda roof. And the first fix electricals are finished, so we can really crack on with the internal plastering.
